The Master of Science and Doctoral (MD) Program at FEB UGM successfully held lecture series titled ‘Elevating Your Research Process in Environmental Economics’ over two days, from Monday, September 2, 2024, to Tuesday, September 3, 2024. The event featured an expert from the Australian National University, Prof. Budy P. Resosudarmo.
This activity was held the BRI Auditorium, 3rd Floor, Master of Science and Doctoral Building, FEB UGM. On the first day, the room was filled with enthusiastic participants interested in environmental economics. The session covered two critical topics in the field of environmental economics: empirical methods and big data. Prof. Budy P. Resosudarmo provided in-depth insights into the impact of human activities on the environment and highlighted the potential of big data in identifying trends and patterns for more informed and sustainable decision-making.
On the second day, Prof. Budy P. Resosudarmo continued his discussion on household surveys in environmental economic research and empirical environmental economics part two. The second day also ran actively, with the discussion becoming even more engaging during the Q&A session when participants raised questions about the challenges Indonesia faces in achieving an emission-free economy. With the conclusion of this event, participants are expected to strengthen their research in the field of environmental economics.
