Yogyakarta – Friday, June 28, 2019, Master of Science and Doctorate (MD) Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada welcomed a visit from Universitas Mulawarman, East Kalimantan. This visit held a comparative study conducted by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Mulawarman University to Master of Science and Doctorate (MD) Program FEB UGM. In this event, FEB Universitas Mulawarman was represented by directors, managers, staffs and lecturers, while the MD FEB UGM also presented MD director, manager, and staffs, as well as several staffs from FEB UGM.
This event was opened by Prof. Jogiyanto Hartono M., Ph.D. as the Coordinator of the MD FEB UGM Program. Prof. Jogi welcomed and introduced the director, manager, and staffs of the MD FEB UGM Program. Prof. Jogi also explained several job descriptions from each staff member. Next, a representative from Mulawarman University, namely Dr. H. Irwansyah, S.E., M.M. also welcomed the opening of the MD FEB UGM Program. First of all, he introduced several staffs and lecturers who participated in this event. Then, he explained the purpose of this visit was for a comparative study to FEB UGM especially for the Accounting Study Program considering that Mulawarman University currently wants to open Master of Science and Doctorate Program in Accounting. For this reason, in addition to the comparative study of program administration management, Universitas Mulawarman also wants to know how the academic system of Master of Science and Doctorate Program in Accounting at FEB UGM.
After the opening ceremony, a comparative study was conducted by dividing the sharing session into two forums. The first forum took place with discussions between program managers represented by Prof. Jogyanto Hartono M., Ph.D. from MD FEB UGM and directors and lecturers from Universitas Mulawarman. In this forum, Prof. Jogi presented the MD Program profile, along with the academic system that has been implemented so far. In this presentation, Prof. Jogi explained in detail about how the mission and vision were arranged and the meaning of them. In addition, Prof. Jogi stated that there was the main foundation held by FEB, namely “innovation, impact, and engagement.” They became the rationale for implementing academic activities at FEB UGM.
The second forum was hold with administrative discussions, including finance and human resources. In this forum, representatives of the financial staff of FEB UGM provided material on how the financial system has been carried out by FEB UGM. The financial system relates to the HR department; for this reason, the forum also discusses a lot about HR management at FEB UGM. The second forum ended at 11.00 WIB and continued with visiting several places to find out the facilities at FEB UGM.
The two forums finished sharing sessions at 11.30 WIB and continued with the closing ceremony, namely the giving up of mementos from both the MD FEB UGM Program and Universitas Mulawarman. (TLU)
