Doctoral Program in Economics FEB UGM a visit from FEB Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) to share about LAMEMBA accreditation. The visit, which was held on March 7th, 2023, took place in the Meeting Room 3rd Floor of the Master of Science and Doctoral Building FEB UGM. There are three representatives from the Universitas Sumatera Utara. In the meeting, several representatives from MD FEB UGM were present, namely Prof. Catur Sugiyanto, M.A., Ph.D. (Head of the Doctoral Study Program in Economics), and some staff of MD FEB UGM, namely Riana Wijayanti, Tri Widiyanto, Wiwin Purwanti, Ayu Diana Ansori.
The meeting began with introductions from both parties (MD FEB UGM and FEB USU). Next, representatives from FEB USU began discussions regarding the educational process in the Masters and Doctoral Programs in Economics, so they had good preparation for LAMEMBA accreditation. In this time, FEB USU is preparing for LAMEMBA accreditation for the Doctoral Program in Economics, while for the Master in Economics Program has been accredited by LAMEMBA. Responding to this, the MD FEB UGM explained that there was an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) process which was very helpful in the preparation of LAMEMBA and AACSB accreditation. AMI is carried out routinely, namely once a year, where the items used have adjusted to LAMEMBA. Although not all internal audit data used in LAMEMBA, most of them can be used. LAMEMBA accreditation has more qualitative indicators.
Concerning accreditation assessment points, FEB USU discussed several matters, including study program curriculum, concentration courses, dissertation and examination regulations, study success, student collaboration, graduate output, internationalization programs, and collaboration with outside campuses. In terms of the quality of the lecture, the distribution of lecturers and community service were discussed.
Those were some points discussed during the FEB USU visit to the Doctoral Program in Economics, FEB UGM. The visiting session ended with giving souvenirs and group photos. (Y)
