The Master of Science and Doctoral Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held an Alumni Talk with the theme “Strategies for Obtaining an LPDP Scholarship and Studying Successfully in the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) at UGM” on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. The event featured Fikri Asyidiqi, S.E., M.Sc., and Anggelia Syahputri, S.Ak., M.Sc., (MSA FEB UGM Alumni & LPDP Scholarship Awardee) as keynote speakers. The event was held online via Google Meet from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM WIB and was open to the public.
During the event, the speakers shared their experiences and practical strategies for preparing for an LPDP Scholarship, from the administrative selection process and essay writing to interviews. Fikri Asyidiqi, S.E., M.Sc., emphasized the importance of thorough study planning, clarity of academic goals, and consistency between educational background and post-study contribution plans. The participants’ enthusiasm was evident in the numerous questions raised during the discussion session, particularly regarding strategies for crafting a strong personal statement, building an academic portfolio, and maintaining a balance between study and self-development. The discussion was interactive and practical, providing a concrete picture of the challenges and opportunities during a master’s degree program supported by an LPDP scholarship.
Through this Alumni Talk, participants are expected to gain insight and motivation to better prepare themselves for an LPDP scholarship and successfully complete their studies in the Master of Science in Accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Business, UGM. The event concluded with a group documentation session and appreciation to the speakers for sharing their inspiring and beneficial experiences for prospective and current students.
