Thursday, 26 October 2023, Master of Science and Doctoral Program FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program FEB UGM held a Graduation Ceremony at the BRI Auditorium, Floor. 3 MD FEB UGM Building. This event was attended by representatives of deans, administrators, supervisors and all graduates along with their parents. This event began with the submission of a report regarding statistical data for graduates by Mrs. Heni Wahyuni, S.E., M.Ec.Dev., Ph.D., as Chair of the Master of Science in Economics Program as a representative of the management. In his report she said that there were 23 master’s program graduates and 9 doctoral program graduates who officially graduated during this period. In the master’s program, the highest GPA as well as the graduate with the fastest study period is achieved by Mr. Arizal Khabibi, graduate of the Master of Science in Management Program with a GPA of 3.91 and a study period of 1 year 10 months 25 days. Then, in the doctoral program, the highest GPA and the graduate with the fastest study period is Arfah Habib Saragih, a graduate of the Doctor of Accounting program with a GPA of 3.90 and a study period of 3 years 11 months 8 days.
Thursday, 26 October 2023 FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program held a Guest Lecture activity by inviting Prof. S. Ghon Rhee, a leading professor in International Banking and Finance at the Shidler College of Business, University of Hawai’I, and founder and editor of Pacific -Journal of Basin Finance. He will share his experience as a researcher and editor of a leading journal so that students will gain a better understanding of managing academic publications.
Friday, 20 October 2023, the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program again held thesis development using Google Looker Studio material, a tool that has the ability to present data into reports that are easier to read, easy to read and informative. This thesis development presented Mr. I Gede Mujiyatna, S.Kom., M.Kom., a specialist in the field of information technology and lecturer at FMIPA UGM. This activity, which must be attended by students who are pursuing their thesis, is held offline at the BRI Auditorium, Fl. 3 Master of Science and Doctoral Building FEB UGM.
Saturday, 13 October 2023, the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program held a field study activity as well as an entertaining cultural tour to see up close the activities of cocoa plantations and the Wondis chocolate factory MSMEs in the Kalibawang District area, Kulonprogo. The cocoa plantation, as well as the UMKM, Wondis chocolate factory, which is characterized by gotu kola leaf chocolate, is currently being proposed and is in the process of becoming a tourist village area. This activity was attended by 50 participants consisting of students and education staff as well as the manager of the MD FEB UGM study program, namely Prof. Dr. Catur Sugiyanto, MA., and Dr. Sahid Susilo Nugroho, M.Sc.
On Friday, September 29 2023, the Master of Science and Doctoral Program turns 43 years old. As an expression of gratitude, the MD FEB UGM Program held a thanksgiving event by inviting all active students, teaching lecturers and education staff. The event was held in the courtyard of the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program Building and started at 13.00 WIB with the presentation of a report from the management representative by Mr. Fu’ad Rakhman, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., CA., as Head of the Study Program Master of Science in Accounting. Then, the event continued with remarks from the Dean of FEB UGM, represented by Mr. Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., as Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, FEB UGM.
Friday, 22 September 2023, the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program again held an activity entitled thesis development with vocal training material for academic presentations. In this material, the MD FEB UGM Program presents Mr. Rayhan Sudrajat, a professional musician and Indonesian ethnomusicologist as a resource person. This activity is carried out online and is mandatory for all students who are writing a thesis and is expected to provide solutions to students related to problems in presentations such as not having a loud voice, unclear articulation, tense tone of voice, monotone or nervous voice style.
Friday, 15 September 2023, the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program held a Thesis Coaching activity with Bibliometric Analysis material delivered by Ms. Arizona Mustika Rini, SE, M.Bus(Acc)., Ph.D., Ak., CA. The activity, which is mandatory for students who are writing their final assignments, is held at the BRI Auditorium, Fl. 3 FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program Building.
