Friday, 20 October 2023, the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program again held thesis development using Google Looker Studio material, a tool that has the ability to present data into reports that are easier to read, easy to read and informative. This thesis development presented Mr. I Gede Mujiyatna, S.Kom., M.Kom., a specialist in the field of information technology and lecturer at FMIPA UGM. This activity, which must be attended by students who are pursuing their thesis, is held offline at the BRI Auditorium, Fl. 3 Master of Science and Doctoral Building FEB UGM.

Saturday, 13 October 2023, the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program held a field study activity as well as an entertaining cultural tour to see up close the activities of cocoa plantations and the Wondis chocolate factory MSMEs in the Kalibawang District area, Kulonprogo. The cocoa plantation, as well as the UMKM, Wondis chocolate factory, which is characterized by gotu kola leaf chocolate, is currently being proposed and is in the process of becoming a tourist village area. This activity was attended by 50 participants consisting of students and education staff as well as the manager of the MD FEB UGM study program, namely Prof. Dr. Catur Sugiyanto, MA., and Dr. Sahid Susilo Nugroho, M.Sc.

On Friday, September 29 2023, the Master of Science and Doctoral Program turns 43 years old. As an expression of gratitude, the MD FEB UGM Program held a thanksgiving event by inviting all active students, teaching lecturers and education staff. The event was held in the courtyard of the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program Building and started at 13.00 WIB with the presentation of a report from the management representative by Mr. Fu’ad Rakhman, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., CA., as Head of the Study Program Master of Science in Accounting. Then, the event continued with remarks from the Dean of FEB UGM, represented by Mr. Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., as Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, FEB UGM.

Friday, 22 September 2023, the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program again held an activity entitled thesis development with vocal training material for academic presentations. In this material, the MD FEB UGM Program presents Mr. Rayhan Sudrajat, a professional musician and Indonesian ethnomusicologist as a resource person. This activity is carried out online and is mandatory for all students who are writing a thesis and is expected to provide solutions to students related to problems in presentations such as not having a loud voice, unclear articulation, tense tone of voice, monotone or nervous voice style.

Friday, 15 September 2023, the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program held a Thesis Coaching activity with Bibliometric Analysis material delivered by Ms. Arizona Mustika Rini, SE, M.Bus(Acc)., Ph.D., Ak., CA. The activity, which is mandatory for students who are writing their final assignments, is held at the BRI Auditorium, Fl. 3 FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program Building.

REACH: Mind Power and Control for Students activity which was presented by Mr. Denny Farabi. This activity, which aims to optimize students’ thoughts and emotions so they can learn more effectively, is mandatory and is participated in by active students of the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Program.

On Friday, September 8 2023, the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral (MD) Program held an open doctoral examination in Economics for the promotion of Asih Murwiati. Secretary of the Department of Economics FEB UGM, Eny Sulistyaningrum, M.A., Ph.D., acted as Chair of the Session. Also present was Prof. Catur Sugiyanto, M.A., Ph.D., as promoter and Elan Satriawan, M.Ec., PhD., as co-promoter. In this open exam, the assessing team was Prof. Lincolin Arsyad, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dr. Evi Noor Afifah, S.E., M.S.E., and Dr. Evita Hanie Pangaribowo, MIDEC. The testing team is Dr. Ardito Bhinadi, M.Sc. and Dr. Rudy Badrudin, M.Sc. Apart from that, the open examination was also attended by the doctoral candidate’s family, work relatives and invited guests.

On Wednesday, 6 September 2023 the Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM held an doctoral open examination in Economics for promovendus Sailal Arimi. Prof. Catur Sugiyanto, M.A., Ph.D., as Head of the Doctoral Study Program in Economics, acted as Chair of the Session. Also present were Prof. Lincolin Arsyad, M.Sc., Ph.D., as promoter and Eny Sulistyaningrum, M.A., Ph.D., as co-promoter. In this open exam, Prof. served as the assessment team. Dr. Samsubar Saleh, M.Soc., Sc., and Prof. Amirullah Setya Hardi, Cand. Oecon., Ph.D. The examiner team is Rimawan Pradiptyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Dr. Ardito Bhinadi, M.Sc. Apart from that, the open examination was also attended by the families of the doctoral candidates, work relatives and invited guests.

On Friday, 11 August 2023 the Universitas Terbuka (UT) had a visit to the Management Science Doctoral Study Program in order to study registration techniques, lecture implementation, curriculum and study period from the Doctor of Management Science Program FEB UGM. The visit which took place in the Meeting Room Lt. 3 The Master of Science and Doctoral Building FEB UGM was attended by four representatives from the Open University namely Dr. Joko Rizkie, S.E., M.M., as Deputy Director of the UT Postgraduate Program, Martini Wibowo, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., as Chair of the UT Doctor of Management Science Study Program and Dr. Zulkifli Sultan, S.E., M.M., and Dr. Andi Harmoko Arifin, S.E., M.Sc., as a Lecturer in the UT Doctor of Management Science Study Program. Head of Management Science Doctoral Study Program, Prof. Mamduh M. Hanafi., M.B.A., Ph.D., received the visit along with several staff from the FEB UGM Masters of Science and Doctoral Program.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program FEB UGM held an Academic Briefing and Researcher’s Enrichment Program (REACH) as a form of welcoming new students for the odd period of 2023/2024 for two days on Wednesday and Thursday, August 9 – 10 2023. The activity was held on the Master of Science and Doctor of FEB UGM and attended by all new students, both the Master of Science (S2) and Doctoral (S3) Programs.
