Yogyakarta – October 26^th, 2022

In this period, 32 students from the Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM have graduated, with details of 28 students from the Master of Science Program and four students from the Doctoral Program. Based on the details, there were 13 students from the Master of Science in Accounting Program, 6 students from the Master of Science in Economics Program, and 9 students from the Master of Science in Management Program. In Doctoral Program, a student from the Doctoral Program in Accounting, two students from the Doctoral Program in Economics, and a student from the Doctoral Program in Management. The graduation ceremony in period October 2022, which was held offline in the Auditorium BRI at 3^rd Floor of MD FEB UGM Building, began with the submission of statistical data reports for graduates by Prof. Catur Sugiyanto, M.A., Ph.D., Chair of the Doctoral Program in Economics FEB UGM, as the manager’s representative.

Yogyakarta, October 15^th, 2022

In celebration of the 42^nd Anniversary, the Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM collaborated with IMADEBGAMA (Association of Students and Doctoral Alumni FEB UGM) and FORKOMSI (Master of Science Student Communication Forum) held a publication workshop on Saturday, October 15^th, 2022. This training raised the topic of “Content, Techniques, and Reviews” and presented three speakers who were lecturers of FEB UGM, namely Dr. Sumiyana, M.Sc., Ak., CA. (Lecturer of Accounting Study Program), Gigih Fitrianto, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Lecturer of Economics Studies Program), and Widya Paramita, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Lecturer of Management Studies Program). The activity started at 13.00 WIB and held offline and implemented a parallel system, starting at almost the same time, but in a different room, according to the study program. Participants consisted of students and alumni of MD FEB UGM.

The Master of Science and Doctoral (MD) Program FEB UGM in collaboration with IMADEBGAMA (FEB UGM Doctoral Student and Alumni Association) and FORKOMSI (Master of Science Student Communication Forum), has held an Open Campus MD FEB UGM activity on Saturday, October 15^th, 2022. This activity raised the topic “Knowing Closer to MD FEB UGM,” which aims to provide information on new student registration requirements, scholarship information, and share experiences of successful study at MD with students. Speakers in this activity consisted of education staff and representatives of MD FEB UGM students. The activity, which held on a hybrid basis, was located in the Bakrie Room, Lt. 2 MD FEB UGM Building for offline and via Zoom meeting online. Participants consisted of the general public, UGM and non-UGM students, and alumni of MD FEB UGM.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has held an open examination for the promotion of Doctor of Management Science for Ph.D. candidate, Deny Edy Widodo. Prof. Eduardus Tandelilin,  acted as Chair of the Session. In this open examination, Prof. Mamduh M. Hanafi, M.B.A., Ph.D. as the promoter, and Bowo Setiyono, M.Com., Ph.D. and Eddy Junarsin, M.B.A., Ph.D. as co-promoter. In addition, the assessment team was also present which included I Wayan Nuka Lantara, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Dr. Tastaftiyan Risfandy, M.Sc., Ph.D. The team of examiners were Agus Setiawan, M.Soc.Sc., Ph.D. and Kusdhianto Setiawan, Sivilekonom, Ph.D. Also attending were the families of the doctoral candidates, working relatives from Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro, and invited guests.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a Thanksgiving event and a book launch in commemoration of the 42nd Anniversary of MD FEB UGM on September 30th, 2022. The event was held at the MD FEB UGM Program Building. The celebration of MD’s 42-years-old birthday on September 29th, 2022 brought together the Dean, lecturers, education staff, and students. The event, which started at 01.00 p.m., began with the opening and a report from the management representative. The event continued with remarks from the Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M. Comm., Ak., CA.

Simposium Nasional Akuntansi (SNA) merupakan kompetisi rutin yang diselenggarakan setiap tahun oleh Ikatan Akuntan-Indonesia, khususnya Kompartemen Akuntan Pendidik (IAI-KAPd). SNA merupakan kesempatan eksklusif untuk mempresentasikan hasil riset terbaik dalam bidang akuntansi oleh para peneliti, pendidik, mahasiswa, dan praktisi dari seluruh Indonesia dan mancanegara. Pada tahun 2022, SNA diselenggarakan di Kendari. Jurusan Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Halu Oleo menjadi tuan rumah SNA XXV dan bersinergi dengan Perguruan Tinggi Swasta di Kendari. Simposium dilaksanakan selama dua hari yaitu 7-9 September 2022 secara hybrid (daring dan luring).

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program FEB UGM has held Mind Power and Control activities for Master of Science students Class of 2020/2021 on Friday, September 9^th, 2022. This mandatory activity for students has been held offline in the BRI Auditorium Room, 3rd Floor, MD FEB Program UGM. This activity presented Mr. Deny Farabi as a speaker. A sum of 92 Master of Science and Doctoral Program students fully participated in the activity.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM collaborates with the Department of Economics FEB UGM to organize a joint learning event, namely BersemIE (Joint Learning at the Department of Economics), with the topic “Contemporary Research on Development Economics: Some Examples.” This event was held offline and took place in the BRI Auditorium Room 3rd Floor MD FEB UGM Program. This session presented Prof. Budy P Resosudarmo, Department of Economics, Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University, as a speaker and Prof. Catur Sugiyanto, M.A., Ph.D., Department of Economics FEB UGM, as moderator. This joint study session aims to develop knowledge and research capabilities, particularly in the field of development economics.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a Thesis Coaching event on September 2^nd, 2022. This Thesis Coaching required for all Master of Science Program students who are pursuing a thesis. This event was held offline at the BRI Auditorium, 3rd Floor, MD FEB UGM Program by presenting Mr. Edi Winarko, M.Sc., Ph.D., Lecturer of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UGM. This thesis training raised the current topic, namely “Web Scraping,” which provide guidance to students regarding data processing sourced from the web. This event was attended by Masters of Science in Accounting, Economics, and Management.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a Thesis Coaching event on August 26^th, 2022. This Thesis Coaching required for all Master of Science Program students who are currently taking a thesis. This event was held online through a Zoom meeting by presenting a vocal expert, Mr. Rayhan Sudrajat. This thesis training raised a contemporary topic, namely “Vocal Exercises for Academic Presentations,” which aims to provide solutions to students regarding obstacles in making presentations and provide tips to improve their ability to make presentations in a relaxed and optimal manner.
