Yogyakarta- Tuesday, October 20, 2020. PT. Pegadaian collaborates with Master of Science and Doctoral Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MD FEB UGM) as a facilitator in the Design Thinking Workshop (DTW). This activity is aimed at potential innovative leaders who are members of the Staff Management Development Program (SMDP). The purpose of this training is to train critical and rational thinking skills in identifying or defining organizational problems and formulating feedback in the form of offering creative, innovative, efficient, and effective problem-solving solutions—the series of DTW in cooperation with PT. Pegadaian with the MD FEB UGM program is implemented in three (3) batches, with 60 participants with 20 participants for each batch.
The opening of Batch 1 was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, Eko Suwardi, M.Sc, Ph.D., and the Head of the Pegadaian Corporate University Division, Rofiq Afiv Aziz, SE, MSM, as well as providing direction and opening to the Batch Design Thinking Workshop (DTW) Batch 1. As the speakers for this activity were Nurul Indarti, Sivilokonom, Cand. Merc., Ph.D. as well as the coordinator of the MD FEB UGM and RR. Tur Nastiti., Ph.D., as a manager of academic, student affairs, and cooperation MD FEB UGM.
As an overview, DTW Batch 1 is technically divided participant into five groups and, through teamwork, identifies problems related to business model concepts and innovations. Each group will be given the task of conducting experiments related to innovative ideas in the work environment, where this session is an experimental case study session to explore problems that might cause work inefficiency. In the end of the sessions, each group used the mind mapping method in formulating the classification of the issues faced at both the individual and organizational levels.
