On Friday, September 26, 2025, the Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) of FEB UGM once again held the MD Research Forum with the topic “Modelling Multi-Level Predictors of Academic E-Entrepreneurship: Empirical Evidence across ASEAN Countries.” The event took place offline from 1:30 to 4:00 PM at the BRI Auditorium, 3rd Floor of the MD FEB UGM Building.
The forum featured Rico Saktiawan Jang Jaya, S.E., MBA, Ph.D. (Lecturer at the Department of Management, FEB UGM) as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, he delivered the findings of his dissertation research, which explored how multi-level factors, including individual, institutional, and environmental aspects, play a role in shaping academic e-entrepreneurship across ASEAN countries.
He emphasized that the development of academic e-entrepreneurship does not solely depend on individual capabilities but is also influenced by institutional support and environmental conditions that foster the creation of academic-based entrepreneurial ecosystems. Thus, this research provides new insights into the importance of cross-level collaboration to strengthen academic innovation in the digital era.
The interactive discussion opened opportunities for participants to ask questions and provide feedback, particularly regarding the practical implications of the research findings for entrepreneurship development in higher education and its potential application across the ASEAN region. Participants showed great enthusiasm by raising critical questions, reflecting a strong interest in gaining a deeper understanding of the dynamics of academic e-entrepreneurship.
The event concluded with a group photo of the speaker, moderator, and all participants. The forum is expected to enrich academic insights while serving as a platform to foster a collaborative and innovative research culture within MD FEB UGM.
