Communication Forum in Master of Science Students FEB UGM which is called FORKOMSI held a 4th grand deliberation (Mubes IV) on Saturday (13/03/2021) online through the Zoom Meeting platform. This grand deliberation was started at 07.30 WIB which began with registration for participants in 30 minutes. The theme of Mubes IV FORKOMSI is “Regeneration of Leadership in FORKOMSI FEB UGM which is progressive, contributive, and happy in science for Master of Science Students FEB UGM.”
Even though the event was held in a pandemic era, it didn’t reduce the enthusiasm and consistency of implementing the agenda, including grand deliberation which kept going conducive. 37 participants were consisting of FORKOMSI administrators for the period 2020/2021 and class representative students in each major (Economics, Management, and Accounting). All of the participants also very enthusiastic, so this high responsiveness supporting the grand deliberation optimally.
Alana Sabila (Economics, class of 2019/2) is one of the FORKOMSI administrators who served as MC in the 4th grand deliberation. This grand deliberation is divided into four plenary sessions. 1st plenary session contains a discussion of the agenda Mubes IV FORKOMSI in 2021, a discussion about the plenary session’s procedure, and the selection of the presidium council. 2nd plenary session contains reporting of LPJ (Laporan Pertanggungjawaban) by Taufik Akbar (Economics, class of 2019/2) as a General Chairman of FORKOMSI in the 2020/2021 period.
He reported about work programs in the organization which is done or not because of one or other obstacles. Based on his report, there was some work program didn’t implement because the effect of pandemic covid-19 which suddenly happened and massive. In his report, he also presented that FORCAST (FORKOMSI Podcast) is very relevant as a facility for collecting aspirations and inspirations in various fields include the other fields outside the academic.
In the 3rd plenary session, there was a division of commission A and B sessions. Commission A meeting discussed the requirements and rules for the election of the General Chairman of FORKOMSI and the commission B meeting discussed AD/ART. Finally, the agenda for the 4th plenary session was the election of the Chairman of FORKOMSI for the period 2021/2022, which began with the presentation of the vision and mission of the two candidates for FORKOMSI General Chair 2021/2022. The two candidates for general chairman are Muhamad Arif Rahman Subarjo (Accounting, class 2020/2) and Fakhrul Indra Hermansyah (Economics, class 2020/1). Furthermore, the election of the General Chairman is carried out using a pooling system.
Based on the results of the pooling, the first candidate, Muhamad Arif, got 37% of the votes and the second candidate, Fakhrul Indra, received 63% of the votes. Thus, Fakhrul Indra was declared the elected Chairman of FORKOMSI. Furthermore, the presidium of the session determined and endorsed Fakhrul Indra Hermansyah as the General Chairman of FORKOMSI for the period 2021/2022. The election of the general chairperson indicates that the grand deliberation has been carried out in its entirety. The Presidium then closed the 4th plenary session and submitted the minutes to Fakhrul Indra as the elected Chairman of FORKOMSI.
The next event was the delivery of remarks from Fakhrul Indra Hermansyah. He is grateful for the opportunity and trust from the forum which has entrusted him with the mandate as the General Chairperson of FORKOMSI 2021/2022. Following his vision of “Creating FEB UGM FORKOMSI as a scientific forum for Master of Science students of FEB UGM in a comfortable and constructive family frame,” he is committed to jointly strengthening synergy between the FEB UGM academic community, bridging scientific development interactively, and building collaboration social and scientific to contribute to the progress of Indonesia, all of which are contained in his mission.
It is truly an extraordinary goal that will later be realized in a concrete work program. The hope is that he and all the FORKOMSI 2021/2022 administrators can coordinate in the framework of kinship and hospitality as a mediator between the FEB UGM academic community. Thus, the scientific level is progressing following the big theme of the 4th grand deliberation which prioritizes progressive, contributive, and happy concepts in scientific field. The activities of the 4th grand deliberation of FORKOMSI ended with a group photo session.
