The Master of Science Student Communication Forum (FORKOMSI) FEB UGM held a 6th Grand Deliberation (MUBES VI) on Friday (24/02/2023), which took place in the BRI Auditorium 3rd Floor, MD FEB UGM Building. This grand deliberation event started at 08.15 WIB, which began with the registration of participants at 07.30 WIB.
The grand deliberation this time was conducive. The participants in the grand meeting were FORKOMSI administrators for the 2022/2023 period and active students in each department (Economics, Management, and Accounting). The enthusiasm of all participants of this event were very great that evidenced by the contribution of ideas in discussing requirements, general election rules, and AD/ART, thus supporting the optimal implementation of the meeting.
MUBES VI FORKOMSI was divided into four parts, namely plenary sessions I to IV. The first plenary session contained a discussion about agenda MUBES V FORKOMSI in 2022, a discussion of the plenary session’s procedures, and the selection of the presidium council. The second plenary session was a presentation also assessment of the report from FORKOMSI management in the 2022/2023 period and the presidium election of the commission session. In this session, there was the submission of the report by Izzul Islam Noor Musta’in (Accounting, class of 2021/1) as General Chair of FORKOMSI in the 2022 term of service. There was a report about the work program that was carried out along and also with the obstacles faced.
In the third plenary session, there was a division of commissions A and B. Commission A discussed the requirements and procedures in selecting the General Chairman of FORKOMSI and commission B discussed the AD/ART. Finally, the fourth plenary session was the election of General Chairman of FORKOMSI for the 2023/2024 period, which began with the presentation about vision and mission from two candidates, they were Hadiyan Prayoga (Accounting class of 2022) and Syafika Dhea Taqiya Ramadhani (Management class of 2022). Furthermore, the election of the General Chairman carried out by a pooling system.
Based on the pooling results, the first candidate, Hadiyan Prayoga, received 18 votes and the second candidate, Syafika Dhea, received 20 votes. Thus, Syafika Dhea was declared the elected General Chair of FORKOMSI. Furthermore, the presidium of third plenary session determined and ratified Syafika Dhea Taqiya Ramadhani as the General Chairman of FORKOMSI for the 2023/2024 period. The election of the general chair marked that the grand deliberations had been carried out as a whole. The Presidium then closed the fourth plenary session and handed over the official report to Syafika Dhea as the elected chairman.
The next event was the delivery of remarks from Syafika Dhea Taqiya Ramadhani. She was grateful for the opportunity and trust of the forum, which entrusted her as General Chair of FORKOMSI 2023/2024. Syafika is committed to jointly strengthening the synergy between students for study success and a cohesive learning ecosystem. FORKOMSI is expected to be able to facilitate student needs by accommodating various positive aspirations. Mubes FORKOMSI VI activities ended with a group photo session. (Y)
