Yogyakarta, 29 December 2020. Yogyakarta, 29 December 2020. The Master of Science and Doctoral Program of FEB UGM has held an Open Exam for Doctoral Promotion for Promovendus Dede Djuniardi. Acting as chairman of the trial this time, Mr. Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., Ph.D., as Dean of FEB UGM, opened the proceedings. Also present were Prof. Eduardus Tandelilin, M.B.A., Ph.D., as the promoter, and Mr. I Wayan Nuka Lantara, M.Sc., and Mr. Bowo Setiyono, M.Com., Ph.D., as co-promoter. This open session was also attended by a team of assessors, including Prof. Mamduh M Hanafi, M.B.A., Ph.D., Mr. Eddy Junarsin, M.B.A., Ph.D., and Dr. Hermeindito Karo, M.M.; and also a team of examiners, including Prof. Marwan Asri, M.B.A., Ph.D., Dr. Agus Setiawan, M.Soc.Sc. Also attending were the families of doctoral candidates, colleagues, and guests.
The session’s chairperson opened the doctoral open promotion examination to then give the promoter time to submit the promovendus profile and ask questions. Furthermore, the co-promoter, assessment team, and examiner team are given time to ask questions related to the doctoral candidate’s dissertation. Promovendus managed to defend his opinion and answer questions about his dissertation entitled “The Role of Information Technology in the Interdependence between Efficiency, Competition and Price Behavior: An Empirical Study on Banking in ASEAN” so that he managed to graduate with the title “satisfactory”.
For information, Dr. Dede Djuniardi was carried out by testing using two stages least squares to eliminate endogeneity problems.
