The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM held alumni gathering in two places, namely on January 22, 2019, in Papua and January 26, 2019, in Ambon.

Yogyakarta – Thursday, February 7, 2019, Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM held an Academic Briefing for New Students in Even Semester 2018/2019. This event was held on the 3rd floor of the BRI Auditorium MD FEB UGM Building.

Yogyakarta – Friday, February 8, 2019, FEB UGM’s Master of Science and Doctoral Program holds the second welcoming day for the new students – Even Semester 2018/2019. On this second day, the event began with Zumba morning in front of the MD FEB UGM Building.

Yogyakarta –  Monday, January 28, 2019. Dr. Fernando Jeffry Sitohang M.B.A., has successfully passed a final defense to reach his doctorate degree. Dr. Fernando Jeffry Sitohang has successfully achieved the 262nd doctorate at Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada and the 4320th at Universitas Gadjah Mada after completing his dissertation defense which has title “Signal Effect of Company Capital Structure and Simultaneous Relationship with Competition Between Companies in Imperfect Competition (Oligopoly) with very satisfying predicate.Opened by Eko Suwardi., Ph.D as dean of Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, his dissertation promoted by Prof. Eduardus Tandelilin, Mamduh M. Hanafi., Ph.D, and  Suad Husnan., Ph.D, and the examiner team were Prof. Marwan Asri, I Wayan Nuka Lantara., Ph.D, Bowo Setiyono., Ph.D, Eddy Junarsin., Ph.D, and Prof. Tri Gunarsih.The dissertation explains the company’s capital structure which is based on the development of knowledge related to capital structure. This study highlights the effects of the market on capital structure, and tries to explain the signal from the capital structure to competition that occurs within the industry. From information asymmetry, it is obtained that the intention of the company will be used and will affect the behavior of the industry, which in turn will affect the interaction of the company in the industry. The theory used highlights industry-specific oligopoly, because there are strategic interactions among players in the industry.Congratulation Dr. Fernando Jeffry Sitohang M..B.A, hopefully the title and knowledge can be useful for the world of education and the institution where he serve.

Yogyakarta – Tuesday, January 29, 2019, the Doctoral Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada held an open defense of Syaiful Iqbal, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., CPMA., a lecturer of Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Brawijaya. Dr. Syaiful Iqbal successfully achieved the 263rd doctorate at Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada and the 4326th doctorate at Universitas Gadjah Mada. He was a doctoral student of the Doctoral Program of Accounting at FEB UGM who passed a satisfying predicate.

“Returning to Yogyakarta, don’t remember the family in Palu, complete all matters in Yogyakarta, and immediately return to serve.” A motivational sentence from Asriyana’s father, burning her motivation to fight back to achieve graduation.

Yogyakarta- Wednesday, January 23^th 2019, the Master of Science and Doctoral Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University (MD FEB-UGM) released 43 graduates from the 3rd Floor of the BRI Auditorium, MD FEB UGM building.

2 students from Master of Science in Management Program Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada, Anggraeni Pranandari and Nuraini Desty, got a chance to join the Graduate Exchange Program in Kyoto University, Japan.

Thank God Almighty, 2018 will be over soon and 2019 will be coming soon. The Masters and Doctoral Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MD FEB UGM) closes activities in 2018 with the Final Meeting of 2018 which is held on December 27, 2018. The event held in the Lippo MD Room of FEB UGM was attended by all managers and employees.
