Yogyakarta, December 30, 2020. At the end of 2020, the Master of Science and Doctoral Program of FEB UGM has held an Open Exam for Doctoral Promotion for Promovendus Feryanto. Act as chairman of the examination, namely Mr. Amirullah Setya Hardi, Cand., Oecon., Ph.D., as Deputy Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Gadjah Mada, and opened the proceedings of the exam. Also present were Prof. Lincolin Arsyad, M.Sc., Ph.D., as the promoter, and Mr. Elan Satriawan, M.Ec., Ph.D., as the co-promoter. Also present were the assessment team, including Prof. Catur Sugiyanto, M.A., Ph.D., and Dr. Ardito Bhinadi, M.Si.; and a team of examiners, including Mrs. Eny Sulistyaningrum, M.A., Ph.D., Heni Wahyuni, M.Ec.Dev., Ph.D., and Dr. Evita Hanie Pangaribowo, M.IDEC. Also attending were families of doctoral candidates, colleagues from the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM), Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), and guests.
The chairperson opened the doctoral promotion open examination session and then given time for the promoter to submit the promovendus profile and ask questions. Furthermore, the co-promoter, assessment team, and examiner team asked questions about the doctoral candidate’s dissertation entitled “The Role and Impact of Credit on the Performance of Household Businesses in Indonesia”. Promovendus managed to defend his opinion and answer the questions raised, so he managed to graduate with the title “very satisfying”.
Furthermore, Dr. Feryanto was carried out by upholding two research objectives. The first objective is about how the role and impact of microcredit on the performance of household businesses. The second objective will discuss evaluating the effects of the agricultural credit program on-farm performance in farmer households. Dr. Feryanto uses data sourced from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) in 2007 and 2014.
Dr. Feryanto officially holds the 5015th doctorate degree who passed the exam at UGM and the 300th who passed from the FEB UGM. Prof. Lincolin Arsyad, M.Sc., Ph.D. as the promoter congratulated Dr. Feryanto, who today officially holds a doctorate from FEB UGM and advised to continue and continue to increase his knowledge and share his knowledge. Finally, the promoter hopes Dr. Feryanto, as a scientist can transmit his penchant for reading to everyone.
