On February 5, 2026, the Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held a Researcher’s Enrichment Program (REACH) activity, which also included an introduction to the 2025 academic year for new MD Program students. This activity was designed to introduce the vision, mission, values, and academic culture of FEB UGM, while strengthening bonds among students through collaborative activities and self-development.
This event took place at theMaster of Science and Doctoral Building, FEB UGM. It began with a presentation of the FEB UGM vision, mission, values, and curriculum presented by each study program manager. The activity then continued with an introduction to the student organizations Forkomsi and IMADEBGAMA, as well as a Scholar’s Day Out (Campus Tour) program for new students.
In the afternoon, the activity continued with a session on Academic Document Writing and Anti-Plagiarism presented by Nofie Iman Vidya Kemal, M.Sc., Ph.D. This session discussed academic ethics, plagiarism prevention, and the use of technology, including the role of Artificial Intelligence in scientific writing. The event then continued with a Communication Skills session presented by R.R. Tur Nastiti, M.Sc., Ph.D., aimed at improving students’ academic communication skills.
MD FEB UGM also provided the new students with a Student Mental Health session, presented by the Indonesia Sehat Jiwa Team, encouraging students to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining mental health in facing academic and research challenges. The REACH event concluded with an Alumni Gathering session, which provided a space for sharing experiences and strengthening academic and professional networks.
Through this series of activities, the REACH Program is expected to equip new students in the Master of Science and Doctoral Programs at FEB UGM with the academic readiness, supporting skills, and mental resilience necessary to optimally and sustainably undertake postgraduate education.
