The Master of Science and Doctoral Program FEB UGM held an academic briefing webinar for master’s students batch 2020/1. The briefing program was held in two sessions, in which the first session was held at noon at 01.30 – 03.00 p.m. Session I was attended by master students from the Science in Management and Science in Economics study programs, also several students from the Science in Accounting.
On this occasion, Dr. Sahid Susilo Nugroho, M.Sc., as the Head of the Master of Science in Management Program gave his direction regarding the thesis arrangement strategy. The first thing he conveyed was the various complaints experienced by students, both related to the supervisor, and the components of the research itself. There is also a presentation about the thesis problems were experienced by most students and how to solve them. As the second resource person, Zuni Barokah, M.Comm., Ph.D., as the Head of the Master of Science in Accounting Program, also motivated students in writing a thesis. He emphasized the importance of consistency and resilience.
All participants were very enthusiastic about participating in this briefing event. They asked many questions related to things that need to be considered in writing a thesis and the ideal target time for writing a thesis. The question and answer session went smoothly and conducive. This briefing program is expected to be able to provide understanding for master students in terms of thesis preparation and motivate them to be consistent in the process from beginning to end.
