Thesis Arrangement Strategy Session II

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program FEB UGM held an academic briefing webinar for master’s students batch 2020/1, which divided into two sessions. The briefing program session II was held in the afternoon at 04.15 – 05.15 p.m. Session II was attended by master students of Science in Accounting study program. There was Mrs. Zuni Barokah, M.Coom., Ph.D., who is the Head of the Master of Science in Accounting Program, as the speaker of this program.

In briefing session II, she conveyed several important things related to the preparation of the thesis. The first thing that must be known is the selection of topics and methods that according to their abilities so that students can complete the thesis optimally. The second important point is to pay attention to the target of writing a thesis. By keeping the target in mind, students can write their thesis on time and certain to be consistent.

She also conveyed strategies to overcome complaints and obstacles experienced by most of the students when arranging their thesis. Bonding with the supervisor is also very important and must be fostered, so that the preparation process until the thesis exam runs smoothly. She also emphasized that consistency and self-resilience are needed in the process of writing a thesis.

The enthusiasm of the participants was very large as evidenced by their activeness in asking questions. The question and answer session went smoothly and conducive. Thus, it is hoped that the participants can start the preparation of the thesis with enthusiasm and have adequate provisions.
