The Master of Science and Doctoral Program in Economics FEB UGM held a routine program, namely Thesis Coaching which facilitates Master of Science students. With the implementation of this program, it is hoped that there will be a strengthening of research skills as the goal of Thesis Coaching itself. However, this training also can be followed by Doctoral students to improve their insight in the field of research.
On this occasion, the training was guided by Mr. Usman Arief, S.E., M.S.M, Lecturer of the Management Department FEB UGM. He explained bibliometrics analysis using R software. Bibliometrics is a module that can be downloaded in R and is regularly updated. By using bibliometrics, the data analysis process becomes easier and has a presence of supporting images.
This training program ran smoothly and was attended by 46 participants consisting of Master’s students, Doctoral students, and several lecturers of FEB UGM. This is proof that the Thesis Coaching program is welcomed by all groups. Thus, it is hoped that MD FEB UGM will be able to continue to facilitate students through this program that will be held regularly.
