Friday, March 22, 2024, the Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has held a routine program, namely Thesis Coaching which facilitates Master of Science and Doctoral students. With the implementation of this program, it is expected to strengthen research skills as the purpose of Thesis Coaching itself. However, this training can also be attended by Doctoral students to add insight in the field of research. The activity, which must be attended by MSi Management Matriculation Program students, 1st semester students and can be followed by students of all FEB Study Programs and MD Alumni, is held offline at 13.30-16.00 at the BRI Auditorium 3rd Floor of the FEB UGM Master of Science and Doctoral Building.
On this occasion, the training was guided by Mr. Usman Arief, S.E., M.S.M, Lecturer at the Department of Management FEB UGM. He explained about Prompt Engineering. Prompt Engineering expands insights beyond simple chat. This means creating prompts or messages that are not only informative, but also understand the context and purpose of user interaction. One of the key challenges faced is how to craft AI messages that not only communicate information, but also build stronger relationships between humans and machines. AI developers must take into account the diversity in user preferences and communication styles, and ensure that the resulting messages remain relevant and understandable in a variety of contexts. As AI technology continues to evolve, it is important to recognize the increasingly important role of Prompt Engineering in shaping better human-AI interactions. With a focus on user experience, effectively designed AI messages not only strengthen the relationship between man and machine, but also open the door to the limitless potential in future applications of artificial intelligence.
This training program went smoothly and was attended by participants consisting of Masters students, Doctoral students, and several lecturers of FEB UGM. This is proof that the Thesis Coaching program is welcomed by all groups. Thus, it is hoped that MD FEB UGM will be able to continue to facilitate students through this program which will be held regularly.
