Within the 2nd year of REPESEA Project, the The Master of Science and Doctorate Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MD FEB UGM) attended a networking meeting at Azman Hashim International Business School, University Technology Malaysia (AHIBS UTM). Five Delegations from MD FEB UGM were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Noah Naha Abu Mansor as Dean of AHIBS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rohaida Basiruddin as Deputy Dean Academic AHIBS, Dr. Rossilah Jamil as Associate Dean Industry and Global AHIBS, Dr. Nazimah Hussin as Director of Academic Program AHIBS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Zaleha Ab. Rasyid., Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fauziah Sheikh Ahmad, and Datin Huzaimah Yahya as Deputy Registrar, Puan Norharyani Abdul Hamid as Assistant Registrar and Assoc. The REPESEA project focuses to improve high quality research performance in Asia. The REPESEA is a cooperation project among universities in Asia and Europe funded by the European Union through the Erasmus Capacity Building in Higher Education (CHBE) scheme. It is three years cooperation which has been started since October 2016. Five programme universities, two from Slovakia, one from Poland, France and United Kingdom and six partner universities from Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand are highly committed to the project.
Within the half day meeting at October, 12, 2018, both universities are agreed to tighten the magnitude of relationship by establishing lecturer exchanges and student outreach program. An interest on the topic of academic response to the development of industry 4.0 will become focus in the coming lecturer exchange. Furthermore, the topic of managing diversity has attracted interest for the student outreach program. Both programs have been set up for the coming 2019.
The REPESEA has provided opportunities among the members to intensify institutions collaboration. Accordingly, Nurul Indarti, Ph.D. as a steering committee of REPESEA project states that REPESEA has increased collaboration among university partners thus beneficial to elevate the development of research culture in Asia.
