The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM in collaboration with NCCU (National Chengchi University), successfully held a webinar on the topic “Sustainable Finance, Accounting, and Business Management” on January 12^nd, 2022. This activity aims to facilitate students for increasing theoretical insight and scientific contributions in research. Thus, the benefits of cooperation between the two universities can be conveyed properly.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a scientific discussion event, MD REFO #6, on January 7^th, 2022. The sixth MD REFO (Research Forum) presented international speakers, namely Mrs. Vicky Andonopoulos, Ph.D., Lecturer at the University of Sydney, Australia. The host of this event was Mrs. Widya Paramitha, Ph.D., Lecturer at Universitas Gadjah Mada. This research forum raised a contemporary topic, namely “Study on Social Media Influencers from An Experimental Design” which was research by Mrs. Vicky. MD REFO #6 aims to add theoretical and methodological insights as well as support scientific contributions, especially in the field of modern marketing. A total of 87 participants consisting of various parties, including students, academics, practitioners, and the general public, attended to listen to the speakers’ presentations with their research that was very interesting and relevant to modern marketing conditions.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has held an open examination for the promotion of Doctor of Management Science for a Ph.D. candidate, Galuh Mira Saktiana. Bayu Sutikno, M.S.M., Ph.D., Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, acted as Chair of the Session. In this Open Examination, presented Prof. Basu Swastha Dharmmesta, M.B.A., Ph.D. as a promoter, and Dr. Sahid Susilo Nugroho, M.Sc. also Dr. Sari Winahjoe Siswomihardjo, M.B.A. as co-promoter. In addition, the assessment team was also present, which included Yulia Arisnani Widyaningsih, M.B.A., Ph.D. and Dr. Jeanne Ellyawati, M.M. The team of examiners in this trial was Prof. Dr. Anton Agus Setyawan, M.Sc., Bayu Sutikno, M.S.M., Ph.D., and Dr. Suci Paramitasari Syahlani, M.M. Also attending were the families of the doctoral candidates, work relatives from Universitas Tarumanegara, and invited guests.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a scientific discussion event, MD REFO #5, on December 28^th, 2021. This fourth MD REFO (Research Forum) presented two great speakers, namely Mr. Vogy Gautama Buanaputra, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Mrs. Heyvon Herdhayinta, M.Sc., Ph.D., both of whom are lecturers in the Accounting Department, FEB UGM, to discuss “How to Survive and Succeed Master and PhD Journeys? Tips and Lessons Learned.” This forum aims to motivate and provide tips to survive and succeed in master or doctoral study activities, both domestically and abroad. A total of 137 participants consisting of various parties, including students, academics, practitioners, and the general public, attended to listen to the presentations of the two resource persons who had just finished their doctoral studies, so their experience was adequate and still relevant.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a scientific discussion event, MD REFO #4, on December 23^th, 2021. This fourth MD REFO (Research Forum) presented Mr. Rimawan Pradiptyo, M.Sc., Ph.D., Head of the Department of Economics FEB UGM and Founder of the SONJO Organization, as a speaker and Prof. Catur Sugiyanto, M.A., Ph.D., Chair of the Doctoral Program in Economics FEB UGM, as moderator. This scientific forum attended by 58 participants consisting of various parties, including students, academics, practitioners, and the general public.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a student briefing event for the Master of Science Program on December 22^nd, 2021. This event was held online through a Zoom meeting by presenting Dr. Denny Farabi as a speaker. This briefing event is mandatory for the Master of Science students, FEB UGM class 2019/2020, where on the day of the event, many lecturers, employees, alumni, and Doctoral Program students, took part in this useful event.

The Master of Science Student Communication Forum (FORKOMSI) FEB UGM held a 5^th Grand Deliberation (MUBES V) on Saturday (18/12/2021) via online through Zoom meeting. The grand deliberation event started at 07.30 a.m., which began with the registration for participants in 30 minutes. The theme of MUBES V FORKOMSI is “Regeneration of FORKOMSI FEB UGM leadership to form a management that is progressive, innovative, and has integrity in the science for Master of Science students FEB UGM.”

The third MD REFO (Research Forum) presented Mr. Syaiful Ali, MIS, Ph.D., a lecturer at the Department of Accounting FEB UGM and Professional Accountant Certification Board, as speakers and Mr. Aviandi Okta Maulana, M.Acc., Ph.D., lecturer at the Department of Accounting FEB UGM, as moderators. This scientific forum attended by 87 participants consisting of various parties, including students, academics, practitioners, and the general public.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a scientific discussion event, namely MD REFO #2 on December 14^th, 2021. The second MD REFO (Research Forum) presented Mrs. Denni Puspa Purbasari, M.Sc., Ph.D. as a speaker, and Mrs. Qisha Quarina, M.Sc., Ph.D. as moderator. This scientific forum attended by 84 participants consisting of various parties, including students, academics, practitioners, and the general public. During the scientific discussion that was held online yesterday, Mrs. Denni explained the axiology of economics, where there are academic and practical uses. She then continued with an explanation of how a policy can be successfully targeted according to its objectives. This was later linked to his role in the Pre-Employment Card Program.

This scientific forum attended by 84 participants consisting of various parties, including students, academics, practitioners, and the general public. On the occasion of a scientific discussion held online yesterday, Mrs. Widya discussed her research about self-presentation strategies through social media, which had been successfully published in the Journal of Advertising (Q1).
