Yogyakarta, December 22nd, 2021

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a student briefing event for the Master of Science Program on December 22nd, 2021. This event was held online through a Zoom meeting by presenting Dr. Denny Farabi as a speaker. This briefing event is mandatory for the Master of Science students, FEB UGM class 2019/2020, where on the day of the event, many lecturers, employees, alumni, and Doctoral Program students, took part in this useful event.

On this occasion, Dr. Denny explained tips to train your mind and emotions to stay focused with a healthy physical condition. All of them are certainly very useful as a provision for students in managing study time, learning techniques, and increasing efficiency. Dr. Denny explained that there are four techniques to improve focus and control thoughts and emotions, including fast therapy techniques, breathing techniques, meditation, and MPC (Mind Power and Control) learning techniques.

MPC technique can be applied after the previous three techniques were done. Through fast therapy, you can regulate your emotions and state the mind in a calm and neutral condition. Through breathing techniques, the feeling becomes calmer and the mind becomes fresher because breathing regulation can overcome angry or anxious conditions. With meditation, it is hoped that it can create relaxation, which can release fatigue and the burden of the mind. After that, MPC learning techniques can be applied, namely adjusting learning techniques to get the appropriate way and good atmosphere, to optimize the learning process. Determine whether you are visual, auditory, or kinesthetic.

The online student debriefing event was equipped with eye therapy and ear therapy to relieve fatigue. The focus of the eye can be increased. They also learn about how to deal with a sore neck and neck, especially those caused by sitting too long for online lectures, online meetings, or online work. During the question and answer session, many enthusiastic participants asked questions or asked for tips on how to deal with reduced concentration and fatigue. At the end of the session, a group photo held to capture an exciting and meaningful moment. (Y)
