On Friday, October 18, 2024, the Master of Science and Doctoral (MD) Program of FEB UGM successfully held a regular thesis coaching session titled “The Role of Mediation Variables in Multivariate Analysis Models,” featuring Mrs. Naila Zulfa, M.A., M.S., PGDip., Ph.D., FHEA, a lecturer from the Department of Management, FEB UGM.

The event was conducted in-person from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM WIB at the BRI Auditorium, 3rd Floor, Master of Science and Doctoral Building, FEB UGM.

In this thesis coaching session, students had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of mediating variables, which are often found in various multivariate research studies. Mrs. Naila Zulfa provided an introductory overview of mediation variables in multivariate analysis models, starting from general concepts to the vital role of mediation variables in clarifying the mechanism of relationships between independent and dependent variables, along with their statistical analysis. She demonstrated a dynamic teaching style by presenting examples with step-by-step explanations, engaging directly with the participants, and even using the whiteboard to clarify key concepts.

This session also opened a session for participants to discuss and share their challenges in data analysis processes, with several students showing interest in the topic of the coaching session. The discussion between students and the lecturer was highly interactive, with numerous inputs from the lecturer offering solutions to their concerns before the thesis coaching session was officially concluded.
