Yogyakarta, February 28^th – March 12^th, 2022

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM participated in the Kyoto Winter School activities organized by The Graduate School of Economics, Kyoto University. The activity was successfully carried out online through a Zoom meeting starting from February 28 – March 12, 2022. This activity aims to provide the understanding and facilitate critical, productive, collaborative, and creative discussions, related to ecological health, social equality, empowerment and cultural creativity in the country’s territory, parts of East and Southeast Asia, leading to compromised inclusivity and long-term sustainability.

Yogyakarta, March 11^th, 2022

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has held an open examination for the promotion of Doctor of Accounting Science for a Ph.D. candidate, Meythi. Mrs. Wuri Handayani, M.Si., M.A., Ph.D., Secretary of Accounting Department, acted as Chair of the Session. In this Open Examination, presented Prof. Prof. Jogiyanto Hartono M., M.B.A., Ph.D. as a promoter and Ertambang Nahartyo, M.Sc., Ph.D. also Singgih Wijayana, M.Sc., Ph.D. as co-promoter. In addition, the assessment team was also present, which included Fu’ad Rakhman, M.Sc., Ph.D., Zuni Barokah, M.Comm., Ph.D., and Setiyono, M.B.A., Ph.D. The team of examiners in this trial was Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Dr. Poppy D. I. Kusuma, M.Si. Also attending were the families of the doctoral candidates, work relatives from Universitas Kristen Maranatha, and invited guests.

Yogyakarta, March 4^th, 2022

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held an anti-corruption public lecture with the topic “We are All Victims of Corruption” to enrich students about the dangers of corruption and the benefits of implementing anti-corruption culture. The speaker in the public lecture was Mr. Rimawan Pradiptyo, M.Sc., Ph.D. The event was held virtually through a Zoom Meeting with a total of 79 participants consisting of Master of Science and Doctoral Program students of FEB UGM.

Yogyakarta, January 10^th – 22^nd, 2022

Singapore Management University (SMU) School of Accountancy held an Accounting Masters Online Data Camp with the topic “Digital Transformation & Financial Analytics using Python.” The activity was successfully held online on January 10^th – 22^nd, 2022. The purpose of this event is to provide participants with an introduction to accounting data analytics programs and knowledge of current accounting industry trends.

Yogyakarta, February 2^nd-3^rd, 2022

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program of FEB UGM held the Academic Briefing and Researchers’ Enrichment Program (REACH Program) for new students in the 2021/2022 Even Semester. This activity lasts for two days, Wednesday-Thursday, February 2^nd -3^rd, 2022. This activity for new students is carried out online through a Zoom meeting. A total of 79 new students from the Master of Science and Doctoral Program attended the full activity.

Yogyakarta – January 26^th, 2021

In this period, FEB UGM has graduated as many as 26 students with details of 14 students from the Master of Science in Accounting Program, 6 students from the Master of Science in Economics Program, and 6 students from the Master of Science in Management Program. Wisdom and happiness were poured out at the tasyakuran graduation period in January 2022, which was held online through Zoom meeting. This event began with the submission of a report on graduate statistical data by Mrs. Zuni Barokah, M.Comm., Ph.D., Head of the Master of Science in Accounting Program of FEB UGM, as the management representative.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has held an open examination for the promotion of Doctor of Management Science for a Ph.D. candidate, Dwi Martiyanti. Prof. Nurul Indarti, Sivilokonom, Cand. Merc., Ph.D., Head of the Management Department, acted as Chair of the Session. In this Open Examination, presented Prof. Basu Swastha Dharmmesta, M.B.A., Ph.D. as a promoter and Dr. Sahid Susilo Nugroho, M.Sc. as co-promoter. In addition, the assessment team was also present, which included Dr. Sari Winahjoe Siswomihardjo, M.B.A., Yulia Arisnani Widyaningsih, M.B.A., Ph.D., and Dr. Jeanne Ellyawati, M.M. The team of examiners in this trial was Widya Paramita, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Dr. Gancar C Premananto, M.Sc. Also attending were the families of the doctoral candidates, work relatives from Universitas Mulawarman, and invited guests.

Prof. Nurul Indarti, Sivilokonom, Cand Merc., Ph.D., acted as Chair of the Session. In this Open Examination, presented T. Hani Handoko, M.B.A., Ph.D. as a promoter, and Sari Sitalaksmi, M.Mgt., Ph.D. also Ely Susanto, M.B.A., Ph.D. as co-promoter. In addition, the assessment team was also present, which included Amin Wibowo, M.B.A., Ph.D., Dr. Reni Rosari, M.B.A., and Dr. Neuneung Ratna Hayati, M.M. The team of examiners in this exam was Dr. C. Budi Santoso, M. Bus., and Rr. Tur Nastiti, M.Si., Ph.D. Also attending were the families of the doctoral candidates, work colleague, and invited guests.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM in collaboration with NCCU (National Chengchi University), successfully held a webinar on the topic “Sustainable Finance, Accounting, and Business Management” on January 12^nd, 2022. This activity aims to facilitate students for increasing theoretical insight and scientific contributions in research. Thus, the benefits of cooperation between the two universities can be conveyed properly.

Yogyakarta, January 7^th, 2022

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a scientific discussion event, MD REFO #6, on January 7^th, 2022. The sixth MD REFO (Research Forum) presented international speakers, namely Mrs. Vicky Andonopoulos, Ph.D., Lecturer at the University of Sydney, Australia. The host of this event was Mrs. Widya Paramitha, Ph.D., Lecturer at Universitas Gadjah Mada. This research forum raised a contemporary topic, namely “Study on Social Media Influencers from An Experimental Design” which was research by Mrs. Vicky. MD REFO #6 aims to add theoretical and methodological insights as well as support scientific contributions, especially in the field of modern marketing. A total of 87 participants consisting of various parties, including students, academics, practitioners, and the general public, attended to listen to the speakers’ presentations with their research that was very interesting and relevant to modern marketing conditions.
