A series of Design Thinking Workshop (DTW) activities organized by the Master of Science and Doctoral (MD) Program FEB UGM and PT Pegadaian has entered the final batch. As with the first and second batches, this activity carried out in three sessions, the first session on 26 November 2020, the second session on 27 November 2020, and the third session on 7-8 December 2020. This online activity was followed by 20 leaders or prospective Pegadaian innovative leaders who are members of the Staff Management Development Program (SMDP).
The Design Thinking Workshop Batch 3 activity was opened with remarks from Prof. Nurul Indarti, Sivilokonom, Cand Merc, Ph.D., as the coordinator of the MD FEB UGM program as well as a resource person in this activity. Apart from that, remarks were also given by representatives from PT. Pegadaian. The other resource persons in the DTW Batch 2 were Mrs. Rr. Nastiti Tour, M.Sc., Ph.D. as Manager for Academic, Student Affairs, and MD FEB UGM Cooperation Program.
The participants in the third batch will discuss together with the resource person about two fascinating materials for three sessions. In the first session, the material given was about building company innovation. They were followed by the second material presented in the second session, which discusses design thinking. The two materials are expected to be a provision for the participants to be able to complete the assignments given at this workshop and also in the actual work environment.
As the closing of the series of events on DTW batch three (3), session 2, the participants were assigned in groups to make experimental reports on innovation ideas during a predetermined time span. And in session three, the participants, of the Design Thinking Workshop (DTW) Batch 3, were required to present the experimentation report on innovation ideas that had been previously collected.
A total of five (5) groups divided into two days of activity will present their respective reports in front of discussants and reviewers. For information, there were also Mr. Heri Susianto (Head of the Champions Transformation Department) and Mr. Ivan Rusanto (Professional Squad Sharia) as reviewers from PT. Pegadaian. And as an effort to improve the quality of the reports, discussants and reviewers provide constructive feedback to the participants.
At the end of the DTW Batch 3 event, a photo session of all participants together with two resource persons was conducted virtually.
