Yogyakarta – January 25th, 2023
In this period, 20 students from the Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM have graduated, with details of 16 students from the Master of Science Program and four students from the Doctoral Program. Based on the details, there were 4 students from the Master of Science in Accounting Program, 3 students from the Master of Science in Economics Program, and 9 students from the Master of Science in Management Program. In Doctoral Program, 3 student from the Doctoral Program in Accounting and a student from the Doctoral Program in Management. The graduation ceremony in period January 2023, which was held offline at 1st Floor of MD FEB UGM Building, began with the submission of statistical data reports for graduates by Dr. Sahid Susilo Nugroho, M.Sc., Chair of the Master of Science in Management FEB UGM, as the manager’s representative.
Also present was Mr. Suyanto, M.B.A., Ph.D., Vice Dean of FEB UGM for Finance, Asset, and Human Resource, to give a speech. He congratulated the graduates who had completed their studies and earned their M.Sc. and Dr. Congratulations also for your success through various challenges while studying, including challenges from a technical point of view (online learning) and learning effectiveness. Mr. Suyanto also expressed his gratitude to all MD FEB UGM Program managers, supervisors, and MD professional staff who have assisted in a quality learning process. For graduates, graduation is the beginning of a real journey, and it’s time to contribute with the knowledge gained. He also hopes that alumnae will maintain good relations with their alma mater, communicate actively, share ideas, and play an active role in alumnae family forums. Thanks are also given to all the organizers so the event can run smoothly and successfully. Lastly, he conveyed that he may always be under the protection of God Almighty.
As a representative of the graduates and the winner of the best graduate title with a GPA of 3.87, Tiyas Kurnia Sari delivered her remarks. The alumnae of the Master of Science in Accounting Study Program expressed her gratitude to God Almighty for the opportunity that has been given time to gathering at the graduation ceremony. Second, thanks also given to the lecturers and supervisors for their constructive and inspiring guidance and provision. Third, thanks to all the professional staff of MD FEB UGM who have facilitated learning activities and assisted in every academic process.
Tiyas advised that all the provisions obtained from MD should be put to good use for our surroundings. According to him, the knowledge and abilities gained during the study really support quality work. Tiyas advised that it very important to avoid pride because pride is greatest human weakness. By avoiding it, awareness arises that the knowledge possessed is only small part, which motivates them to continue to be true learners. Finally, a sincere apology conveyed to all parties involved in the learning and hoped that good relations would maintained until the end of their lives. May God Almighty always accompany you in every next step.
At the end of the session, there was transcript’s distribution for all graduates. For graduates with honors, the transcript’s submission carried out by Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., CA. For the other graduates, transcripts submitted by the Head of the Study Program. After completion, the celebration ended with a photo session with the leaders and managers.
