On Wednesday, 26 July 2023 the Master of Science and Doctoral Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM held a Graduation Ceremony. The event was held at 13.00 WIB after the graduates carried out the university graduation ceremony at Grha Sabha Pramana. The graduation ceremony was attended by representatives of the dean, administrators, supervisors and all graduates along with their parents. Head of the Doctoral Study Program in Accounting Science Prof. Jogiyanto Hartono, Ph.D., M.B.A., CA read a report on graduate statistical data. In his report he said that there were 25 graduates who graduated in this period. The highest GPA in the master program was achieved by Mr. Dian Agustina, a graduate of the Master of Science in Accounting Program with a GPA of 3.91 and a graduate with the fastest study period achieved by Br. Ruth Meilianna, a graduate of the Master of Science Program in Economics with a study period of 1 year 9 months 27 days.
Also present were Mr. Suyanto, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D., Deputy Dean for Finance, Assets and Human Resources to give a speech. He congratulated all graduates on their success in completing their studies. Mr. Suyanto expressed his hope that with the new title they hold, the graduates can contribute in various fields of life in society. In addition, the graduates are also expected to continue to add and update their knowledge after graduation. It is also hoped that good relations between graduates and study programs at FEB UGM will always be maintained and support each other wherever the graduates work.
Further remarks were delivered by representatives of the best graduates as well as graduates with the highest GPA, Mr. Diane Agustina. The alumnus of the Master of Science in Accounting Study Program said that graduation was a historic and unforgettable moment considering that the journey to an academic degree is not an easy thing. Success in achieving graduation belongs to various parties and Mr. Dian Agustina expressed her gratitude to both parents and family who have provided such great support, supervisors and examiner lecturers who have given many directions and all MD FEB UGM staff who always accompany and assist in every learning process in a professional manner. Not only that, Mr. Dian Agustina also congratulated all fellow graduates who are now ready to become agents of change in their respective fields while asking all fellow graduates to stay enthusiastic and support each other in the next process.
At the end of the event, there was a distribution of transcripts to the graduates. The graduate with the highest GPA score, the transcript was given by Mr. Suyanto, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D., Deputy Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni. Furthermore, for other graduates the transcripts are given by each head of the study program. In addition, before the event was closed there was a photo session with the graduates with the leaders and managers. The whole series of events ran well.
