Yogyakarta- Saturday, September 26th, 2020. The Association of Students and Alumni of the FEB UGM Doctoral Program (IMADEBGAMA) held a Discussion & Sharing entitled “Optimistic for Masters and Doctoral Advanced Studies” using a zoom cloud meeting. The MD Open House activity is a series of Lustrum 8 events for the Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM which was held on the same day with a 14-topic panel webinar presentation, namely “Bias in Research and Methods of Mitigation”. The MD Open House webinar aims to: (1) provide information about the requirements and standards for becoming an MD FEB UGM student; (2) means of discussion; and (3) sharing information on preparation to become MD FEB UGM students and providing information on the lives of MD FEB UGM students.
The first session explained the requirements and standards of becoming a master and doctoral student in the MD FEB UGM Program. This session was delivered by Wiwin Purwanti, Admissions and Marketing Division of MD FEB UGM. In this session, she conveyed why MD was the right choice to continue studies at the master and doctoral level. Besides the achievements of both national and international, national and international networks, MD FEB UGM also has various programs to strengthen students’ analytical/cognitive capacities and soft skills required in this competitive era.
The second session was delivered by Doctoral in Management Program Student, Andi Susilo Lukito Budi, SE., M.Bus., Representing Sriwidharmanely, SE., MBM. Ak., CA., (Doctoral Program Student in Accounting), and Aloysius Deno Hervino, SE., M.Sc. (Doctoral Program in Economics). In his presentation, Andi Susilo Lukito Budi, SE., M.Bus., informed the various preparations to become a student in the MD FEB UGM Program and optimistic tips as a student in the MD FEB UGM Program.
In the discussion session which was hosted by Jein Sriyana Toyib, SE., M.Sc., as the moderator, participants were given the opportunity to ask questions representing the department and 3 representatives of the Doctoral Program students at MD according to the majors will respond. This interactive activity was solid and active for 1 hour and was attended by 61 participants. (RP)
