At least 100 participants attend the activities which are required for new students at the master and doctoral level.

Two interesting and important topics as provisions for new students during their study in the master of science and doctoral programs of FEB UGM were presented at this activity. The first topic delivered by Mrs. Nurul Indarti, Sivilokonom, Cand Merc, Ph.D discussed Academic Document Writing and Anti-Plagiarism. In this first topic, students are invited to understand how an academic document is written, how the structure and method of writing are made, where the scientific paper will lead to, and ethics in using the lecturer’s name in scientific articles to be published. Besides, in the first session, the material on plagiarism was also delivered to add insight to new students of MD FEB UGM, so that the impact caused by plagiarism behavior can be avoided.

The second topic in this activity discussed soft skills that MD FEB UGM students must also have, namely communication skills. Mrs. Rr. Tur Nastiti, M.Sc., Ph.D, as the second session speaker, said that students need to understand how to communicate well when presenting the material.
