Yogyakarta – The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM held a public lecture on anti-corruption with the theme “We are All Victims of Corruption” to enrich students regarding the dangers of corruption. The speaker in this public lecture was Mr. Rimawan Pradiptyo, M.Sc., Ph.D. The event was held virtually through the Zoom Meeting with a total of 52 participants consisting of students in the Master of Science and Doctoral Program FEB UGM and colleagues from the corruption eradication commission called KPK.

Prof. Catur Sugiyanto, M.A., Ph.D. started the event by giving a speech as vice manager of the Master of Science and Doctoral Program. At the event which lasted for approximately 2.5 hours, Mr. Rimawan explained corruption and its practices that occurred in Indonesia and several other countries. The various corruption cases currently occurring have become a system and have a very complex impact on the economy and state finances. If an analogy is made, this corruption phenomenon is like an iceberg, in which more portions are not seen or revealed. It is the ironic side.

The number of corruption cases that have a very wide impact in various sectors is an important fact that must be noted. It is hoped that the future generations of the nation will be able to realize this, thus supporting the implementation of the anti-corruption culture that has become a necessity today. Building an anti-corruption system with integrity in all sectors is the point.
