On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the Master of Science and Doctoral Program in Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), held a “Workshop on the Evaluation and Planning of International Doctorate in Business (IDB) Courses.” The event was conducted offline from 08.00 AM to 12.30 PM WIB in the Lippo Room, 2nd floor of the Master of Science and Doctoral Building, FEB UGM. The workshop was organized to evaluate the ongoing IDB courses in the Even Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year and to plan the future development of the IDB program.

The event began with opening remarks from the Head of the Department of Management, Prof. Nurul Indarti, Ph.D. During the opening session, Prof. Nurul Indarti also delivered a presentation on IDB DAAD Osnabrück as part of the effort to strengthen the future direction of the IDB program. The first session focused on the Philosophy of IDB Teaching, featuring Prof. Nurul Indarti, Ph.D. as the speaker and Nofie Iman Vidya Kemal, Ph.D. as the moderator. The session discussed the teaching philosophy of the IDB program, including how the learning process can be designed to align with the characteristics of an international doctoral program, students’ needs, and expected academic standards.

The second session addressed the Evaluation of IDB Course Implementation, led by Widya Paramita, M.Sc., Ph.D. This session included discussions on students’ evaluation of the courses, as well as a review of the syllabus and course implementation by lecturers. The discussion provided a reflective forum for lecturers and program administrators to identify aspects that should be maintained and improved in the implementation of IDB courses.

Through this workshop, the Master of Science and Doctoral Program in Management at FEB UGM aims to continuously strengthen the quality of IDB course implementation. The evaluation focused not only on the technical aspects of teaching delivery, but also on curriculum relevance, teaching approaches, and students’ learning experiences. This forum is expected to support a more focused, adaptive, and internationally oriented development of the IDB program.

The workshop was conducted interactively through discussions among program administrators and lecturers. Through this activity, the IDB program is expected to continue developing as an excellent and relevant doctoral program that supports the advancement of education and research at FEB UGM.
