Yogyakarta-Tuesday, September 29th, 2020. The series of the 40th Anniversary activities of the Master of Science and Doctoral Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MD FEB UGM) reached the summit of its celebration. The 40 Years MD FEB UGM Tasyakuran lasts for 1 (one) hour in a virtual forum and takes place in lively and familial nuances. The event was opened by singing Indonesia Raya and Gadjah Mada Hymne and continued with the opening remarks by the Coordinator of MD FEB UGM Program Management, Nurul Indarti, Sivilokonom, Cand.Merc., Ph.D. In her remarks, she conveyed that the Lustrum 8 commemoration was very special even though it was held in the midst of a pandemic but a series of events ran smoothly, such as: (1) “MD Competition” which was held by FORKOMSI; (2) “MD Webinar on Education Quality Management: A 40-Year Look Reinforces Values”; (3) “MD Shares” a webinar entitled “Bias in Research and Mitigation Methods”; (4) “MD Open House” held by IMADEBGAMA; (5) MD Anjangsana which took place 23 September 2020; to (6) “MD Tasyakuran” which took place today. She also conveyed the latest statistical conditions of the MD Program, MD achievements including AACSB re-accreditation, various annual book writing agendas, along with MD History.
The Dean of FEB UGM, Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., Ph.D., also delivered a speech at this forum, he expressed his appreciation and pride for MD, who has turned 40. The increase in MD age has a positive correlation with the achievement of the developing program, staff, lecturers, and students. He also said that he would continue to encourage and support MD’s journey ahead, which was already glorious and would continue to be headmost.
The gratitude of the entire FEB UGM academic community was also conveyed in a joint prayer led by the Administrative Coordinator for Academic and Student Affairs, Handayani, SE. Prayers and group photos were the closing ceremony for the 40th MD Tasyakuran event, even so all the invitations in the virtual forum continued to keep in touch and have a warm conversation.
