The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a scientific writing workshop on August 3^rd, 2022. This workshop namely “Zotero Optimization for Reference Management” and presented Dr. Julianto Agung Saputro, S.Kom., M.Sc., Ak., CA., Alumni of the Master of Science and Doctor Program FEB UGM. The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Jogiyanto Hartono M., M.B.A., Ak., CMA., CA., Head of the Doctoral Program in Accounting FE UGM, to give a speech. This training was attended by 60 participants, who are FEB UGM student from undergraduate, master, and doctoral levels.

Yogyakarta, July 11^th – 23^rd, 2022

Singapore Management University (SMU) School of Accountancy held an Accounting Masters Online Data Camp on the topic “Digital Transformation & Financial Analytics using Python.” The activity was successfully held online on July 11^th-23^rd, 2022. The aim of this event are to provide participants with an introduction and learning about Python-based coding applied to analyze the capital market, develop digital transformation strategy capabilities using the business model canvas, introduce data analysis programs accounting, and discuss developments in the accounting industry.

Yogyakarta – July 20^th, 2022

In this period, 17 students from the Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM have graduated, with details of 15 students from the Master of Science Program and two students from the Doctoral Program. Based on the details, there were nine students from the Master of Science in Accounting Program, a student from the Master of Science in Economics Program, and five students from the Master of Science in Management Program. In Doctoral Program, a student from the Doctoral Program in Accounting and a student from the Doctoral Program in Management. The graduation ceremony in period July 2022, which was held offline in the MD FEB UGM Auditorium, began with the submission of statistical data reports for graduates by Prof. Mamduh M. Hanafi, M.B.A., Ph.D., Chair of the Doctoral Program in Management FEB UGM, as the manager’s representative.

The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has held an open examination for the promotion of Doctor of Management Science for a Ph.D. candidate, Arif Muanas. Prof. Nurul Indarti, Sivilokonom, Cand.Merc., Ph.D., Head of the Management Doctoral Program, acted as Chair of the Session. In this Open Examination, presented B.M. Purwanto, M.B.A., Ph.D. as a promoter, and Bayu Sutikno, M.S.M., Ph.D. also Yulia Arisnani Widyaningsih, M.B.A., Ph.D. as co-promoter. In addition, the assessment team was also present, which included Dr. Sahid Susilo Nugroho, M.Sc., Dr. Sari Winahjoe Siswomihardjo, M.B.A., and Dr. Ike Janita Dewi, M.B.A. The team of examiners in this trial was Widya Paramita, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Dr. Suci Paramitasari Syahlani, M.M. Also attending were the families of the doctoral candidates, work relatives from UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, and invited guests.

The Master of Science in Accounting Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM received a visit from Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI). This offline visit was in the context of a comparative study related to the opening of the Master of Science in Accounting Program at FE UNSRI. The event opened by Ms. Zuni Barokah, M.Comm., Ph.D., Chair of the Master of Science in Accounting Study Program, FEB UGM, by introducing herself and all meeting participants from UGM. Furthermore, representatives from FE UNSRI explained the purpose of the visit clearly, including points to be discussed in comparative study activities. In connection with this goal, the two representatives from FE UNSRI, Mr. Arista Hakiki, the Head of the Accounting Department of FE UNSRI, and Dr. E. Yusnaini, S.E., M.Sc., Ak., the Secretary of the Establishment Team for the Master of Science in Accounting FE UNSRI, expected views and input on the steps that must be taken to open the Master of Science in Accounting Program and the uniqueness that must be built.

In this Open Examination, presented Prof. Mahfud Sholihin, M.Acc., Ph.D. as a promoter, and Dr. Sumiyana, M.Si. also Hardo Basuki, M.Soc.Sc., Ph.D. as co-promoter. In addition, the assessment team was also present, which included Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., Ph.D. dan Choirunnisa Arifa, M.Sc., Ph.D. The team of examiners in this trial was Rusdi Akbar, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Dr. Eko Yulianto, M.Sc. Also attending were the families of the doctoral candidates, work relatives from Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, and invited guests.

In this Open Examination, presented Sony Warsono, MAFIS., Ph.D. as a promoter, and Prof. Dr. Slamet Sugiri, M.B.A. also Zuni Barokah, M.Comm., Ph.D. as co-promoter. In addition, the assessment team was also present, which included Prof. Suwardjono, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Setiyono, M.B.A., Ph.D. The team of examiners in this trial was Irwan Taufiq Ritonga, M.Bus., Ph.D. and Dr. Dyah Ekaari Sekar Jatiningsih, M.Sc. The Master of Science and Doctoral Program (MD) FEB UGM has successfully held a scientific discussion event, MD REFO, on April 27^th, 2022. This time, MD REFO (Research Forum) presented Mr. Yusuf Aria Putera, Funding CVM Lead – Merchant Business at Bank Jago, as presenters and Dr. Sahid Susilo Nugroho, M.Sc., Lecturer at Universitas Gadjah Mada, as the host. This time, MD REFO raised the current topic, namely “Collaborative Network Strategy between Banking and Retail Crowd.” The event was also attended by Mr. Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, M.A., Ph.D., Deputy Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni, to give a speech.

In this period, FEB UGM has graduated 24 students, with details of 19 students from the Master of Science Program and 5 students from the Doctoral Program. Based on the details, there were 6 students from the Master of Science in Accounting Program, 2 students from the Master of Science in Economics Program, and 11 students from the Master of Science in Management Program. In Doctoral Program, 2 students from the Doctoral Program in Accounting and 3 students from the Doctoral Program in Management.

The Doctoral Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM received a visit from the YKPN School of Economics (STIE). The visit was conducted online in the context of a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) related to the opening of the Accounting Doctoral Program at STIE YKPN. In this event, the FGD team from STIE YKPN opened the event by clearly conveying the purpose of the visit, including the points to be discussed in the FGD activity. In the initial presentation, the team from STIE YKPN said that many of the teaching staff or lecturers at YKPN had obtained professor positions, so they met the requirements to establish a Doctoral Program. They want to learn and listen to the experiences of lecturers from FEB UGM in running the Doctoral Program.
